Worth It

For the third project, our assignment was to re-mediate our project II, taking the same content and delivering it in a different way.

I decide to combine my illustration and writing, and make a graphic narrative that follows the story behind the events in "Drama Queen" and which I elaborated on in the second project: why I had to make the prints, what happened while I was making them, my research about other artists and writers who make work about their families, and the weeks following my parents' discovering my work.

For this third project, I only made the introduction to the rest of the book (due to the 1 month time constraint), but I plan on including more chapters. This introduction looks at the exchange I had with my dad, the moment he found my work online in January. The following chapters will return to last summer, detailing the reason I had to make the prints, and exploring the process behind them and how my relationship with my family has shifted now they are aware of my work.
